The Plaza Community Cinema provides a wide range of Arts and Education activities for young people and the wider community.
Our projects include:
Autism & Disability Friendly Film Screenings
The community cinema is for everyone and we endeavour to provide a service to those who cannot normally enjoy as simple a pleasure as going to see a movie.
We run a monthly screening so check the right hand side of this page to see what’s coming up.
DEMENTIA Friendly Film Screenings
Taking place on the third Thursday of the month at 2.00pm. The programme will be a combination of classic movies, musicals and archive films specially selected to trigger memories.
AUTISM CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
Film, Art, Music and creative writing workshops bringing together those in mainstream education and their contemporaries on the autism spectrum.
Often targeted at younger generations with the goal of giving people a space to be creative and to exhibit that creativity.
A series of drop-in digital animation sessions designed to teach kids stop motion animation – great fun!
