This year the cinema celebrates 80 years of showing films, and we will be celebrating this on our annual Nostalgia Night on Saturday 7th Sept at 7pm. We will be showing the film Pajama Game with Doris Day, plus some Pathe news from the 1940s and supporting programme
Employees of the Sleeptite Pajama Factory are looking for a whopping seven-and-a-half cent an hour increase and they won’t take no for an answer. Babe Williams is their feisty employee representative but she may have found her match in shop superintendent Sid Sorokin. When the two get together they wind up discussing a whole lot more than job actions! Written by A.L. Beneteau
We also will be having a few songs from the 40s, and the usual raffle and licensed bar. All proceeds on the night go towards restoring the Mighty Wurlitzer.
Tickets are £4 and is cash only. These will be available from the box office only from 6pm today.
We would like to thank Barry Hodgson of Colour Create in Bootle for help to design and print the tickets.
