The Plaza is proud to present Expectations. It’s a short film produced by 15 young people aged 13-19 years as part of the Plaza’s arts and education summer programme.
Conceived as an educational tool, the film investigates the effect of gender stereotyping in families, at school amongst peers and in the workplace across different generations.
Whilst this is a challenging and difficult subject, most of us have experienced some of the negative behaviour patterns featured in the film. Our intention is for the film to be used as a catalyst for discussion, and to empower young people to be confident in themselves and to be respected amongst their peers and in the wider world.
The FREE screening is intended to be a celebration of the talents and achievements of the young people, and is open for members of the public to attend. It will take place on Tuesday 1st February at 6.45pm. All welcome.
