Famous musical movie star Tony Hunter (Fred Astaire) fears his career may be on the skids, but his friends, Lester (Oscar Levant) and Lily (Nanette Fabray), have written a Broadway vehicle to kick-start his professional life.
Tony is ecstatic — until egotistical director Jeffrey Cordova (Jack Buchanan) joins the project and casts ballerina Gaby Gerard (Cyd Charisse) as the leading lady. Tony’s second chance seems to be fading, but he may get more than he bargained for as the show goes on
The film will be shown in screen one, our largest auditorium. It is accessible and has space for up to 18 wheelchairs. If you, or any of your party use a wheelchair or have access needs, please email me in advance and I can reserve appropriate seating for you.
We maintain low level lighting throughout the screen. This does not impact on the picture quality, but assists those who need to move around or prefer a less dark space. The soundtrack is played at a lower volume than at our mainstream screenings. If this is too low or too high, please let staff know and the volume can be adjusted in either direction. Also, all seats are now able to access the Hearing Loop.
