The fourth Plaza 80s of 2024 and the final one before a break for the summer is Pretty in Pink!
Pretty in Pink (15) is a cult classic film from 1986 about love and social cliques in American high schools. It was directed by Howard Deutch and written by John Hughes. It stars Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy and Jon Cryer.
The film was named after a song by the Psychedelic Furs, and the film’s soundtrack, which has been acclaimed as “among the most brilliant in modern cinema”, features a re-recorded version of the song. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark’s “If You Leave” became an international hit from the soundtrack.
Tickets are on sale on now, £7 (cash only) from the Plaza Box Office. The film is supported by DJ Nick Gartland playing an 80s set.
