We round off Plaza 80s in 2024 at the Plaza Community Cinema with the Christmas Special on Saturday 14th December. This year’s 1980s Christmas film is the 1989 classic, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (12A).
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is a 1989 American Christmas comedy film and the third instalment in National Lampoon magazine’s Vacation Film Series. The film was directed by Jeremiah S.Chechik, written and co-produced by John Hughes, and starring Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo and Randy Quaid. The film tells the story of Clark Griswold’s efforts to have a good old fashioned family Christmas.
Nick Gartland will be on warm up before the main film with an 80s Christmas themed DJ set. Christmas Jumpers optional!
There will be a bar and a food bank collection on the night.
