In partnership with Sefton UNISON we are holding a celebration of International Women’s Day, and the achievements of women on Sunday 8th March at 7.45pm.
This FREE event will feature a special screening of Bread and Roses. The film which sees, two Latina sisters work as cleaners in a downtown office building, and fight for the right to unionize, directed by Ken Loach and we will have contributions from two remarkable local women:
Margaret Aspinall CBE, Chair of Hillsborough Families Support Group and Doris Windsor, a socialist of 97 years with memories to share.
