On Thursday 25th May we will be showing the Willy Russell play – Our Day Out. Set in Liverpool in the 1970’s it tells the story of a school trip to Conwy with a lively set of 14 year old students and three teachers. All are set for a day of fun away from school until they are joined by the strict disciplinarian and killjoy Mr. Briggs.
You may recall seeing this on The Play for Today series hosted by the BBC. If you have seen it before, or are coming to it with fresh eyes, do join us. It’s a great comedy drama that fizzes and sizzles as things get out of hand with the school kids and tensions mount between members of staff. What could possibly go wrong?
