This event is the culmination of an 18 month oral history project with people from Bootle, including former Dockers. On the night we will show a 10 minute memory walk down the Dock Road with former Dockers as well as a special screening of ‘Dockers’ the film co-produced with Jimmy McGovern, Irvine Welsh and former Dockers and their families.
We will have two special guests; Jimmy McGovern, Liverpool based writer will take part in a Q/A with the audience and Dave Cotterill, filmmaker, will talk about his role in initiating the creative writing workshops with Jimmy McGovern that led to the making of the film.
Tickets priced at £4 each are now available from the Plaza. All proceeds to be shared between The Casa, the Hope St. Dockers support Club and the Plaza’s arts and education projects in the community.
