For one night only, audiences at the cinema will be able to glimpse rare footage of the region, with many scenes from Merseyside to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the war. Narrated by Maxine Peake, the film tells the story of those who stayed behind, and how their lives were changed dramatically during the four years of conflict.
